May 20th. The two 2005 Scholarship Winners are presenting. One of the topics that is being discussed is "Technology: Changing Reading and Language Arts in the Classroom." This seminar may be more worthwhile than the one some of us attended in March. I was very suprised. I am a member of CARR and attend many of their conferences. I feel most of their seminars are worthwhile. However, I was very disappointed with this one. I was hoping to learn more about how to incorporate technology into the classroom. Instead, we have a Harvard graduate marketing a reading program. Really! I definitely thinks she was speaking to the WRONG audience. I am computer stupid and I am hoping to become more comfortable with using technology in my classroom. But then again that may never happen since my classroom computer does not work.
